‘Stranger Things’ Nike Converse Sneakers Release Date

Following the release of a Dunk Low earlier this month, “Stranger Things” are uniting for a collection of five additional sneakers with Converse now brought into the fold.

Keeping true to the show’s time period, the assortment of sneakers consists of the Air Max 1, Field General High and LD-1000 from Nike and the Chuck 70 and Weapon from Converse. Three of those shoes — the Air Max 1, Field General and Weapon — all made their debut within the ’80s, while the remainder were still very much in vogue even with earlier introductions.

On each of the Nike sneakers, most of the branding is flipped upside down as a nod to the alternate dimension prominent in the series, and the “Stranger Things” logo is printed on the insole. The Air Max 1 channels the model’s original “Sport Red” colorway with a darker hue, while the Field General High gets a muted white, silver and black treatment. The LD-1000 then takes on two shades of purple and yellow, while the Converse Weapon appears in white and blue with a cracked leather collar.

Most conceptual of the lot is the Chuck 70, which arrives with a distressed upper and decorations pulled from the WSQK radio station, Robin’s “Beam Me Up, This Place Sucks” T-shirt, the Demogorgon and the Hellfire.

Back in 2019, Nike and “Stranger Things” linked for another capsule featuring the Air Tailwind 79, Blazer Mid and Cortez. The Netflix show has also made additional footwear this year with Minnetonka and Aldo, in addition to a collaboration with Wrangler.

The latest collection will also include a run of apparel, as well as customizable Chuck Taylor All-Stars on the Converse by You platform.

The “Stranger Things” x Nike and Converse sneakers will release Dec. 4 through the Nike and Converse websites, as well as Snkrs and select third-party retailers. Pricing has not yet been announced.
