Vans Premium Super Lowpro Trainer: Available Now

Vans has been on a fashion hot streak lately, reinventing its classic shoes with designer-inspired flair and premium executions. And while the intricately detailed Authentics and Old Skools are rightfully getting the bulk of the hype, the brand is making noise in other categories as well.

After introducing its take on the thin-sole sneaker trend, the Super Lowpro, in March 2025, the heritage-inspired model is getting a refresh to start 2026. Known as the Premium Super Lowpro Trainer, the recent release adds subtle — and some not-so-subtle — changes to the low-profile design. 

Most notable is the addition of an interchangeable dual-lace wrap, which sweeps from the barely there midsole and finishes with a bow atop the standard shoelaces. Other updates are less conspicuous, including a new panel on the lateral and medial sides, which the laces wrap through, and a rubber outsole that covers the toe.

The new model’s color options are also worth mentioning, with the Premium Super Lowpro Trainer introducing new metallic finishes and full-suede constructions to the on-trend look.

While there may not be the same level of fervor around low-profile shoes as there was at this point last year, the trend doesn’t appear to be fading any time soon. The slim-soled stylings remain popular across athletic and designer brands alike, with new variations still being introduced on a regular basis. 

In ’25, Vans issued what became one of the year’s most coveted sneakers with its Chanel-inspired Old Skool Souvenir sneakers. More recently, it followed that up with another designer-informed Charms Pack of Premium Authentic styles. 

Given its upgrades, the Premium Super Lowpro Trainer will come at a slightly higher price than the standard Super Lowpro. The new version retails for $95, up $10 from its original price point. The model is available now from vans.com and select retailers in Olive Green, Brown, Black and White styles.
