Vans might have more life in the Old Skool “Souvenir” than many expected. After the brown and burgundy pairs started gaining traction, navy blue and salmon orange versions are now beginning to surface.
The Vans Old Skool Souvenir takes a familiar skate shoe and gives it just enough polish to feel new. Its quilted-style detailing and vintage handbag-inspired look made the early pairs feel more elevated, but not so dressed up that the Old Skool lost its usual easy wearability.
Navy blue gives the model a cleaner, more everyday look, while salmon orange pushes the lineup into a brighter direction. A white “Oatmeal” pair has also been seen, so Vans appears to be building this into more than a quick one-off release.
The timing works in Vans’ favor. Simple lifestyle sneakers are still in a strong place, and the Old Skool remains one of the brand’s most reliable shapes. The “Souvenir” version adds enough personality without making the shoe feel forced, which is probably why it caught on so quickly.
Vans has not announced release dates, pricing, or availability for the next Vans Old Skool Souvenir colorways. For now, the navy and salmon pairs show the brand leaning into one of its better recent ideas while the interest is still fresh.
