Shai Gilgeous-Alexander may be preparing for a future with Nike, but his time with Converse still has a few releases left. The latest is the SHAI 001 Lace Up, a redesigned version of his first signature shoe that removes the zippered outer shroud for a more traditional basketball build.
Along with the updated construction, the Lace Up will become the first SHAI 001 offered in kids’ sizing. Three colorways are part of the rollout, including two pairs previously worn by Gilgeous-Alexander during his pregame tunnel appearances.
The “Berry” edition covers the shoe in bright pink with contrasting beige around the collar. A “Cheetah” colorway uses tan as its base, joined by Volt accents and a three-color finish. The collection also includes a “Lime” pair that combines neon green with grey across its two-tone upper.
Gilgeous-Alexander confirmed that he will finish his remaining work with Converse before beginning the next stage of his footwear career with Nike. He also expressed pride in what the two sides created together and said he looks forward to seeing the final Converse releases reach fans.
Converse SHAI 001 Lace Up Release Date
The Converse SHAI 001 Lace Up “Lime” and “Berry” colorways will release August 14, 2026, followed by the “Cheetah” edition on September 3. Adult sizing will retail for $120, while kids’ pairs will be priced at $100.
