Evolving the Converse 1908 collection developed in partnership with Tyler, the Creator, the Pro Leather chapter offers a futuristic interpretation of one of basketball’s most influential styles. The launch also includes leather versions of the Converse 1908 Jogger, presented in black and white.
The Pro Leather hit the scene in 1976, elevating expectations for basketball shoes and off-court style as well. Building on this momentum, Tyler, the Creator refreshed the Pro Leather for a new generation, taking inspiration from b-boy culture and the bootleg shops that reshaped silhouettes by hand for the 1908 iteration. He ultimately presents a bigger and bolder shape that speaks for itself.

The proportions of the 1909 Pro Leather are purposefully exaggerated — the silhouette gains new confidence with a wider toe box, oversized eyelet rows, chunky laces and an embossed star across the toe cap.
A premium full-grain leather upper is accompanied by archival touches including the heel panel, perforated detailing and Star Chevron to translate the Pro Leather identity to the new shape. Repping Tyler’s brand, there’s also debossed Golf Le Fleur* branding featured on the tongue and lateral side. The silhouette will come out in two colorways, White and Amazon.

Converse and Tyler, the Creator launched The 1908 Program reviving archival styles in 2025; they began with bringing back the Naut-1 boat shoe and the Coach Jogger. The musician repped his collaboration with the brand on stage at the Grammys in February, when he performed in the Converse 1908 Jogger and the 1908 Bronco Boot.
